Welcome

Welcome to Ecotourism in Uganda. Find out more about our wildlife, conservation and community development projects and how you can become a part of them.

Our primary organization TECT (Teso Education and Conservation Trust) works alongside other local organizations in Uganda to conserve the environment. We introduce ecotourism which in turn generates revenue to be put back into excisting projects and starting up new projects.

Teso Education, Medical and Conservation Trust is located in the Soroti District of North Eastern part of Uganda, approximately 6-7 hours from Kampala.

Established in 2007, Teso has an overall objective of enhancing collaboration with other organisations and individuals.

Our rural and urban children here are deprived and do not have adequate facilities for education.Though many children get schooling through the Government initiative to provide free universal primary education, there are no teaching and learning resources for use in schools and in rural areas there are few schools at all. Parents try to organise community programmes to ensure that children acquite literacy and numeracy skills.

Some of the schools we support don't have any buildings to house class rooms and teachers use trees for shade to teach under. Blackboards are hung from the trees.
